In my view this is the best civ 5 tier list ive found because not only does it have an explanation of their thoughts on every unique in the game but it also doesnt underestimate the importance of conquest the way many other lists do. Some civs are better than others and understanding the ins and outs of each can swing any game in your favor.

Civilizations are ranked by tier and not numerically so if civ a and civ b are placed in the same tier they are ranked the same regardless of position in the list. Civ 5 is a complicated game with hundreds of different variables but that doesnt mean you need to pick your nation blindly when setting up a game. It also doesnt overrate tall empires tall is always better than wide is the biggest myth of civ 5. Of course when it comes to ranking there will be disagreements and if you feel something should be changed feel free to say so the goal is to make this tier list as accurate as possible. Coupled with a pretty good unique building and a plains starting bias poland is the kind of civilization that can easily snowball into any victory type.
